Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Data we collect

We collect account and profile information, content you upload (including product images and descriptions), and usage data necessary to provide and improve the Synk platform. When you use AI-powered features (e.g. chat-to-listing), we process your images and inputs to generate product listings and suggestions.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to operate the Service, to generate or process images and other content, to personalise your experience, and to communicate with you. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for marketing profiling beyond what is needed to deliver the Service.

3. AI processing and subprocessors

AI features. When you use AI features (e.g. uploading a product image for analysis, or refining a listing with natural language), we process that content in our systems and may send it to trusted subprocessors to run the AI models.

We minimise what we store: we do not keep full images in our databases; we keep only short references and derived data (e.g. analysis results, generated text) for the periods described below.

4. Retention and deletion

Retention. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the Service and as required by law. Processing job data (e.g. session-linked AI job records) is retained for a configurable period (by default up to 90 days) and then automatically deleted. We may retain anonymised or aggregated data for improvement and analytics where it no longer identifies you.

Deletion. When you delete a product, we remove your original uploaded images from our storage. When you request account or data deletion, we delete (or anonymise) your personal data and, where applicable, trigger deletion of your data in our AI processing systems (e.g. all processing jobs linked to your sessions).

5. Generated images and ownership

Images and other content generated by Synk (e.g. via AI or our tools) are the property of Synk, as set out in our Terms of Service. We may retain and use such generated assets for the operation of the Service and in accordance with this Policy. When you delete a product, we remove your original uploaded images from our storage but may retain regenerated or generated versions as permitted under the Terms.

6. Your rights (including GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise these rights or for any privacy-related question, contact us as indicated at synkcommerce.com/privacy. If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Security and international transfers

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Where we transfer data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other approved mechanisms to ensure an adequate level of protection.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the last updated date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For requests or questions, contact us at synkcommerce.com/privacy.
